Every live UK Meta ad from nine premium brands, pulled from the Meta Ad Library and sorted by what is actually working. Four are direct interiors and home comps. Five are premium brands in adjacent categories, included because their creative mechanics transfer. The report ends in a shoot list.
We pulled every currently-live UK ad for all nine pages, then split each account by media type to get a format on every ad and to beat the grid cap. That gave 1,330 unique ads at roughly 97 percent of what Meta reported. From those we selected 83 for the expensive work: the real creative asset downloaded, films cut into three-frame strips, and every one sorted onto a fixed checklist of 21 content types.
Selection was weighted by how long Meta has kept an ad running, because longevity is the only performance signal available from outside an account. An ad live 150 days is a proven argument. An ad live 3 days is a guess.
Across all 1,330 ads, video and static perform identically on longevity: both sit at a 28-day median, both get 7 percent of ads past 90 days. Offer copy versus no-offer copy is also a dead heat at 28 days. So "make more video" and "run a discount" are not the moves. What separates these accounts is which ARGUMENT the creative makes and how many different ones they can sustain.
Puresport runs 537 live ads on 15 arguments, so 35.8 ads per argument, with an offer in 98 percent of copy. With Nothing Underneath runs 127 ads on 95 arguments, 1.3 ads per argument, with zero discount language and better durability. One brand floods one idea, the other almost never repeats itself. H&H cannot fund the first, so the second is the model.
Product-mechanism films carry a 184-day median among the creatives we sorted, the highest of any type, topping out at Pooky's 244-day rechargeable-cell film. Hands, a mechanism, no narrator. Pooky and Naturalmat are the only two brands running it, and they are also the two best-performing accounts on durability. H&H is not running this at all.
Of 1,272 ads carrying copy, not one mentions gifting, a present, or buying for someone else. Zero, across all nine brands, in late August. For a premium home brand heading into the biggest gifting quarter of the year this is the clearest open lane in the report.
331 ads, 26 percent of the market, already carry star ratings, Trustpilot strips or customer counts. Adding another rating strip buys nothing. The version still worth making is Puresport's: a real Strava summary burned over the product, or an Instagram question screenshot answered inside the ad. Receipts, not badges.
TOAST has 188 live ads and not one has reached 90 days. It is the most visually coherent brand here, and three separate live ads run the identical cactus-greenhouse film. Produced editorial model imagery is the weakest type in the whole set at a 7-day median. Craft without a claim churns.
Each account, what it is doing, and the one thing to take from it.
The account. 537 live ads on 15 distinct arguments, so 35.8 ads per argument. 98 percent of copy carries an offer, 49 percent of ads are creator-bylined.
What we like. The proof mechanics, not the discounting. A Strava run summary burned over the drink, and an Instagram question-box screenshot answered in the ad. Both are real receipts rather than claims.
For H&H. Do not copy the volume or the permanent discount. Do steal the receipt mechanic: show real data instead of asserting a benefit.
The account. 263 ads, 67 arguments, 52 percent video. Only 4 percent creator-bylined despite being a supplement brand.
What we like. Educational carousels (gut-friendly shopping list, protein timing) and a stat card built on a statistic rather than a product. Also a 9-up mosaic that stacks many creator clips into a single frame, which gets social-proof volume into one ad slot.
For H&H. The mosaic is a cheap way to show many voices at once. The category-critique opener (the wellness industry has a noise problem) is a strong cold hook.
The account. 188 live ads and not one has passed 90 days. Only 4 percent video. Zero discount language.
What we like. The craft: greenhouse and whitewashed-alley films, embroidery macro, the wordmark held consistently over every frame. It is the most coherent brand world in the set.
For H&H. A caution, not a template. Beautiful brand-world creative with no claim, no proof and no mechanism churns. Three separate ads here run the identical cactus-greenhouse film. Volume of assets is not diversity of arguments.
The account. 127 ads carrying 95 distinct arguments, so 1.3 ads per argument. Almost nothing is repeated. Zero discount language and 15 percent of ads past 90 days.
What we like. Their 167-day evergreens are phone-shot cropped body shots, not produced studio work. Deliberately un-produced. The few text-overlay ads state a hard USP (100 percent Cotton, Designed In London, Made In Portugal) rather than a mood.
For H&H. Proof that a premium brand can run un-produced iPhone-look creative as its durable spine, and that no-discount can still evergreen.
The account. 101 ads, 65 percent video, and the broadest span of content types of any brand here: founder origin film, paper-craft stop motion, relatable meme, restock, DPA product spine.
What we like. The founder film (100 days) tells the garden-shed origin story in the founder voice. The stop-motion is a hand-illustrated paper bed with real hands swapping the bedding, which nobody else in the set is doing and which costs almost nothing to shoot.
For H&H. Range is their moat. Also the only brand pairing a story film with a hard DPA retargeting spine, which is the structure H&H should mirror.
The account. Highest share of long-running ads in the whole set at 21 percent past 90 days, and a 244-day top ad. Zero creator content, zero discount language, 40 distinct arguments across just 57 ads.
What we like. Their winners are product-mechanism films: a hand lifts the shade off, swaps the rechargeable cell, the lamp goes cordless. The mechanism IS the ad. Lighting films also let the light fade up on screen, which is a free demo of the actual product benefit.
For H&H. This is the model to copy. Show the mechanism working, in a real room, no talking head and no discount.
The account. Highest median longevity at 51 days on only 39 live ads. Runs the leanest, most deliberate account in the set.
What we like. Two authority films no competitor is running: a House and Garden pull-quote calling them the Rolls Royce of mattresses, and a film asking what 10 of The Times 50 best places to stay have in common. They also close on the sewn-in label with Made by Hand in Devon, so the provenance claim is shown rather than stated.
For H&H. Third-party institutional proof plus a hotel/trade client list is the strongest untapped angle for a premium home brand.
The account. Only 10 live UK ads, median 1 day. Captured mid-launch for a 23 August drop, so this is a snapshot of a teaser burst rather than a working account.
What we like. The range-lineup shot: the full bag collection on a plain ground in one frame, so one ad sells breadth instead of a single SKU.
For H&H. Read with caution. Low days-live here means recency, not churn. Do not conclude anything about their durability from this pull.
The account. Only 8 live ads, 63 percent carrying an offer, nothing past 90 days. Currently leaning on an end-of-season sale.
What we like. Clean studio garment films that let the fabric move, and a restrained serif sale card that does not cheapen the brand.
For H&H. Discount-led with no evergreen spine is the failure mode to avoid going into Q4.
Arguments counts distinct opening copy concepts. Ads per argument is the repetition rate: low means near-unique creative every time, high means one idea flooded. Offer percent is the share of copy carrying discount or free-gift language.

Read this as a relative comparison of proven creative, not as absolute proof that one type outlasts another. Those 83 were chosen partly for longevity, so the population is not neutral. The comparisons in finding 1 are drawn from all 1,330 ads instead, which is why those are the ones stated as fact.
Eight standard arguments, each tested against all 1,272 ads carrying copy. This is the map of what is taken and what is free.

What to make next, in priority order, with the reason from the data. P1 items are open or near-open lanes with proven durability elsewhere.
The most durable type in the entire 1,330-ad set and H&H is not running it. Hands only, no narrator, no music bed needed. Show the thing working: how a sheepskin sits into a pram seat, how a rug backing grips, how a cover comes off and washes. Pooky holds a 244-day ad on exactly this. Shoot 3, one per hero product.
The most under-used lane here: only Naturalmat runs it, and it drives their 51-day median, the best in the set. Any press pull-quote, award, or a list of hotels, showrooms and interior designers who specify H&H. Naturalmat closes on the sewn-in Devon label, which is the move: show the provenance, do not claim it. Shoot 2.
ZERO ads across all 1,272 with copy mention gifting. Not thin, actually zero, in the run-up to Q4. Gift-giver POV: choosing it for someone, the reaction, why this is the safe premium gift. This is the single clearest open lane in the report. Shoot 2 films plus a stills set.
WNU evergreens these at 167 days and they cost nothing. Cropped, un-produced, real hands and real rooms, shot on a phone. Deliberately not studio. The lesson is that premium does not require produced. Shoot 10 to 15 as a rolling batch, not a one-off.
Only Piglet runs one and it has held 100 days. Founder voice, why the brand exists, what the standard is. This is the asset that builds meaning when you cannot out-spend, and it dates slowly. Shoot 1, properly.
Review proof is the most saturated lane in the set at 331 ads, so do NOT add another star-rating strip. Do the Puresport version instead: a real screenshot, a real DM, a real question answered. Receipts, not badges. Shoot 3 as graphics, not film.
Piglet is the only brand here doing hand-made animation and it is the cheapest distinctive asset in the whole set: paper, hands, a phone on a tripod. Very shareable, short-lived, good for topping up volume without a shoot day. Make 2.
Not a shoot, a hygiene check. Clean cutouts on plain ground feeding a catalogue retargeting campaign. Piglet and If Only If both hold 100-day DPA ads. It should always exist and it should never be the prospecting plan.
Produced editorial model imagery: lowest durability of any type at a 7-day median. Brand-world mood film with no claim: TOAST runs 188 ads on this and not one has reached 90 days. And do not add more star-rating strips, that lane is saturated at 26 percent of the market.
Each brand's six longest-running live ads. Ordered by days live, and brands ordered by their best ad.
On ranking. These are ranked by how long Meta has kept each ad running, not by impressions. Impressions are not obtainable: the Ad Library publishes no impression or reach figure for UK commercial ads (that is an EU political-ads feature, and it appears on 4 of our 1,255 cards), and the library's own sort by total impressions parameter is silently ignored, so grid position carries no impression signal either. We tested that directly: ascending, descending and no sort at all return identical card order. Days live is the only performance proxy available from outside an account, and an ad Meta has served for 150 days is one the advertiser keeps paying for.
The longest-running ad in the whole report, and every ad in the top six is a different argument. Five of the six are rechargeable-lighting product films. This is what a healthy top set looks like.
Five distinct arguments in the top six, three of them tied at 167 days. Un-produced phone-look creative is doing the heavy lifting. The one repeat argument is Throw it on, tuck it in, running at both 167 and 134 days.
Authority and material proof at the top, no offers anywhere. The one repeat is the Handcrafted in Devon provenance film, running as two ads at 119 days.
Six different creatives all making one argument: the same starter-kit discount, Was £73 Now £32.99, for up to 134 days. New assets, no new idea.
The most structurally complete top set: the garden-shed founder film (twice) alongside three catalogue product ads and a range film, all at 100 days. Story plus retargeting spine, which is the structure to mirror.
The top six are only three distinct creatives, one of them running four times, and the best is still just 76 days. Their 188-ad account has no durable winner and its top set is mostly one film repeated.
One 71-day ad and then a cliff to 9 days, all end-of-season sale creative. No evergreen spine at all.
Every top ad sits at exactly 36 days, so the account was rebuilt about five weeks ago. No evergreen exists here yet.
Top ad is 2 days old. This is a launch teaser burst, not a top set. Read nothing into this ranking.
All 83 creatives, grouped by content type and ordered by days live. Films show as three frames: opening, middle, close. Every image links to the live ad in the Meta Ad Library.
The single most durable type observed. Pooky and Naturalmat both use it. Hands, a mechanism, no narrator.
Styled room shot. Durable and cheap, but only when the room is genuinely aspirational.
Un-produced cropped shots. WNU evergreens 167 days on these. Cheapest durable asset in the set.
Only Piglet runs one. Builds meaning a discount cannot.
The DPA retargeting spine. Not a prospecting asset, but it should always exist.

Real receipts (Strava, DM screenshots) instead of claims. Only Puresport does it.
Puresport and If Only If only. Durable for them because the offer is permanent, which is its own problem.
Biggest lane in the set. Works when the overlay states a hard USP, dies when it states a mood.
Material close-up. Good support, never the whole argument.
Widely run and mid-durability. Beautiful, but carries no claim, so it cannot do the convincing alone.
Puresport and Wild Nutrition only. Note it does NOT evergreen well here: 43-day median.

Teach rather than sell. Wild Nutrition only.

Retail/community moment. TOAST only.
Caption-led in-joke. Cheap, scroll-stopping, and short-lived.
Piglet only. Hand-made stop motion. Distinctive and very cheap.
Lowest durability of any type here at a 7-day median. Produced fashion imagery churns fastest.
How it was pulled. Meta's official Ad Library API returns only political and social-issue ads for the UK, so it is unusable for commercial research. Everything here comes from rendering the public Ad Library in a headless browser, page-scoped by page ID, then splitting each account by media type. Creative assets were downloaded at full resolution from the ad archive rather than screenshotted, because the card preview is too small to judge styling.
Coverage. 1,330 unique ads against roughly 1,371 reported by Meta, about 97 percent. Shortfalls are concentrated in Wild Nutrition and TOAST, whose accounts are large enough to hit Meta's pagination limits. Those gaps affect ad counts, not the durability findings, because the long-running ads surfaced in every pass.
Rate limiting. The first pass was blocked partway through and returned false zeros for Wild Nutrition and Sézane: Meta serves a clean, healthy-looking page with the filters echoed back and the results silently dropped. Those were caught and re-run three and a half hours later once a control query came back green. Every number here was collected in a window that passed a control check at both ends.
What is judgement. 66 of the 83 content types were assigned after looking at that ad's own creative. The remaining 17 were inferred from copy, format and the brand's established pattern, and are marked "type inferred" in the library. Longevity comes from the harvest pass, not the ad detail page, because the detail view resets flight dates.
Snapshot. Live ads as at 23 August 2026. This is a point-in-time read of active creative and does not include ads that have already been switched off.
